Happylieuya Safeguarding Policy Statement

Happylieuya follows Social Work principles of the welfare of a child is paramount consideration. Happylieuya takes the safeguarding of children and adults seriously and is duty bound under Scottish Social Service Council (SSSC) and Scottish Legislation to report any concerns of risk to persons to Local Authority, Police Scotland or a neighbouring agency outwith Scottish borders. The purpose and scope of this Policy Statement is;
To protect vulnerable people from risk of harm
To protect people who may become vulnerable as a result of being subject to risk of harm.
To follow the overarching principles that guide approaches to Child and Adult Support and Protection that is set out by the Scottish Government.
This policy applies to Happylieuya employees and to any client/group member in receipt of Happylieuya coaching and (in)direct support. It also applies to 3rd party members who may be at risk of harm following a disclosure of a client/group member.
